‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ preview: Kenya Moore and Apollo Nida’s sit-down chat
Why in the world does Kenya Moore really care so much what Apollo Nida thinks? This is something that we are still trying to figure out when it comes to “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” This is a guy who is married to someone else in Phaedra Parks, and given what she has been through with NeNe Leakes, it feels like Kenya already has enough stuff to figure out.
Still, these two still find the pressing need to talk over matters, and you can see some of that play out in the sneak peek below from this episode. Judging from the official synopsis of this episode below (via Bravo), though, it feels like some of the most dramatic moments between the two are going to come a little bit later than what this clip gives us:
“Soaking in the beauty of Mexico, Kenya downloads Lawrence on her thoughts on Porsha and Kordell’s complicated relationship and also reveals lingering issues she has with Apollo. Later that evening, Kenya crashes the guys’ night out and confronts Apollo one-on-one regarding their troubled history, but the conversation is cut short when an unexpected guest shows up.”
This sneak peek serves to us as a great microcosm of the entire season, since it brings to the surface what is really to us the biggest flaw with this season as a whole: It’s suddenly more about the men than it should be. This is not “The Real Couples of Atlanta”; it’s about the women and some of the crazy things that they do. People like Apollo and Peter have become far too important characters in the story for the show to feel like it still has the same soul it once did.
