‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 5: Tyler Blackburn returns as series regular

What's next? -While we certainly understand a good many of you being sad about the end of “Ravenswood,” maybe the following announcement will help to at least cheer you up ever so slightly: Tyler Blackburn is going to be heading back to “Pretty Little Liars” with as big of a role as he once had.

ABC Family made the announcement on Wednesday, teasing that his return to Rosewood was going to come “early in the season.” Season 5 is taping this spring, and recently just announced its new premiere date in June. As for whether or not this could be the last season of the show, that has not been announced; with that being said, though, how long can you really stretch out the lives of these people as high school students? It’s already unclear just what time period they are in most of the time.

One thing that we do hope for the sake of “Ravenswood” fans is that the return of Caleb at least brings some sort of closure to what happened on the spin-off. Thanks to both shows falling under the same umbrella, it’s a little easier to tie together things than it would be otherwise. With that being said, we’re sure that the network probably doesn’t want a huge amount of time spent working with a show that is not going to be airing new episodes anymore. There are new stories to tell with Caleb! (We imagine that this does not bode well for Travis.)
