‘Survivor: Cagayan’ rankings: Does LJ’s idol put him atop Beauty tribe?

LJ -In this latest edition of our “Survivor: Cagayan” rankings, we’re going to a tribe here that was only at tribal council just a week ago. The Beauty Tribe does have some things going for them, at least in that they are young, in pretty good shape, and LJ is reasonably good at puzzles. The major thing that they are lacking? The cohesion and the teamwork to really get it together. While they are still a step above the Brains, we’re not putting it past them that another disaster could take place soon.

With that in mind, there’s a pretty great value in figuring out where they stand right now. As with every other edition of “Survivor” rankings we’ll be doing all season, our criteria is simple: Edit, strategy, and effectiveness all rolled into one. We’re like the statistician of this game … except we’re making up most of the stats in our head.

5. Morgan McLeod (last week: 5)– The good thing for Morgan is that she actually has shown signs of being a better player than anyone was willing to give her credit for pre-game … at least in that she is thinking about strategy. The bad news? She has no immunity idol and no alliance left. It’s a good thing that the Brains tribe will probably lose more, and the Brawn apparently wants to throw something just so they can send someone packing from the game.

4. Jefra Bland (1) – We had a lot more confidence in Jefra the last new episode, where she looked completely devastated by the rain and seemed ready to just walk out of there. Even if she is in an okay spot, this was not the drive or the competitive spirit of someone who will end up winning this game.

3. Alexis Maxwell (2) – Alexis is so quiet right now that it’s almost-impossible to figure out where her head is at. Really, the best thing that she can hope for is that she does make it to the merge, then everyone will just forget about her in route to her finishing around sixth or so. We’re not seeing anything more so far.

2. Jeremiah Wood (3) – He has a major enemy in Morgan now, given that he didn’t vote to save Brice. But, the good news is that she is only one person on a tribe of five. The main value in Jeremiah right now is making sure the he keeps the other women close to LJ, and ensures that there is no surprising flip if there is another loss.

1. LJ McKanas (6) – Let’s be real here when we admit that LJ is not exactly playing one of the greatest games ever so far, since it really doesn’t seem like he has a grasp on any real alliance outside of Jeremiah. What he does at least have going for him right now is the possession of a hidden immunity idol, and that is at least good for something right now. He’s almost assured a spot near the merge, and then after that the real playing for him will begin.
