‘Bones’ season 9 spoilers: Will the Ghost Killer return in finale?
Earlier this year, “Bones” season 9 established the possibility of there being a Ghost Killer out there who was so skilled, it was impossible to prove that they even existed. There was something suggested about this via the end of Pelant, but for the first time in quite a long time, this was a foe that Brennan had a hard time getting everyone else to take seriously.
Well, that could change at the end of the season. You may have guessed that the Ghost Killer was going to be coming back, and now we have proof of it. Speaking per TVLine in a new interview, executive producer Stephen Nathan teased that this is one of two major stories that is going to play out:
“[One story focuses on] a promotion that seems to exist within the FBI and they have their eye on Booth to fill this position … [Meanwhile,] the Ghost Killer [arc] becomes far more complex and conspiratorial, and very well might lead back to the FBI.”
Do we see this story being resolved this spring? We don’t have a crystal ball into the writers room for the show, but let’s just say that we would be very surprised to see something like that happen. There may only be one season left for the show, and the longer that they let this Ghost start to appear, the more effective the big reveal as to who it is will be.
