‘Once Upon a Time’ season 3, episode 12 preview: See Captain Hook plead to Emma
“Once Upon a Time” is almost back! Who is ready to celebrate? However, be warned that you are not going to be delving back into the world of magic right away on Sunday’s “New York City Serenade.” Instead, the focus will be on Captain Hook’s attempts to try to convince Emma Swan that she is not some ordinary woman in the Big Apple, and is destined to do far more than she realizes.
The nice thing about the sneak peek (which you can see below) presented by ABC is that it answers a key question: How in the world can Hook help get Emma her memories back? The answer comes in the form of some sort of potion, which will take care of Regina pushing the “erase” button on her memory during the fall finale “Going Home.” The hard part here is going to be Hook trying to convince her to drink it in the first place.
As you would probably expect, Jennifer Morrison’s character is not exactly going to be that interested in drinking something that is coming courtesy of a guy that she doesn’t even know. That is hardly a good gameplan. Hook is at least coming to her with a name that does seem familiar to her in Neal, which suggests that while a certain amount of Emma’s history was wiped clean, she has a grasp on the person that she once was before Henry entered the world.
The question to us here isn’t whether or not Emma eventually remembers, since there would be no show if she tells Hook to go back on his ship and leave her alone. We’re more interested in how it happens, and the fact that “Serenade,” a word that we often think of with sweeping romantic movies, is used in the title.
