‘Supernatural’ season 9, episode 16 preview: Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Crowley’s addiction

Check it out -Let’s go ahead and start off this “Supernatural” article with some very bad news for all of you hoping to see some more new episodes on the show very soon: There  is no new episode airing next week, as many networks for whatever reason are angling for a week off. Instead, you can expect to see the Winchesters back on the air on March 18 with “Blade Runners,” which certainly looks on the surface like it could be one of the show’s most excited hours of 2014.

What can you expect? Start first of all with the return of Crowley, who has been missing in action for a while. Then, add the fact that his addiction is playing a part here front and center, and this is something that Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles’ characters are going to have to deal with. In case you haven’t seen it already, check out the synopsis below:

“Dean (Jensen Ackles) is frustrated when he can’t reach Crowley (Mark Sheppard), who has promised to find The First Blade. When Crowley finally calls Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean, he tells them he fell off the wagon and has been injecting human blood and needs their help. To make matters worse, he had a demon (guest star Rebecca Marshall) helping him find blood, but she sold him out and told Abaddon that he and the Winchesters were searching for The First Blade. The brothers need to find the blade before Abaddon does, so they enlist the help of a former member of the Men of Letters (guest star Kavan Smith). Meanwhile, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi appears in a cameo role.”

For those of you who actually did want to see more of Snooki (we know there are some out there), she’s not highlighted in this promo. We know that some out there are objecting to her appearance on this season, but we really don’t mind it so much. It gets a few new viewers watching, and it’s not like she is being handed a multi-episode arc.
