‘Under the Dome’ season 2: CBS releases first video of production
Are you ready to dive back “Under the Dome” all over again? Well, the news is out today that production has begun on the second season! The show returns to CBS on Monday, June 30 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, and in a press release today, the network wasted no time at all remind you of just how big of a ratings warrior this show was:
“The second season of UNDER THE DOME premieres Monday, June 30 (10:00 – 11:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS. UNDER THE DOME was the #1 program last summer, with an average of 15.06 million viewers and 3.9/11 in adults 18-49, making it the most-watched scripted summer series in 21 years. UNDER THE DOME is licensed in 200 markets worldwide by CBS Studios International and is off to strong starts in countries where it has already premiered.”
As for some other assorted funny moments, that is what the video below is for! In this, you can see the likes of Mike Vogel and others around Stephen King, who apparently believes that Twitter is something that you use a typewriter for. Was it a little staged? Sure, but we have to at least give them some credit for trying.
Production for this show is going to continue steadily over the next few months, and for the show itself, the challenge is going to be making this feel special and not just like you are watching the same thing all over again. This is the problem that some other shows have run into that were originally thought of as something lasting a season. “The Following” is a nice example of that.
