NBC’s ‘The Voice’ preview: See Blake Shelton, Shakira’s new strategies
Monday night marks another new episode of “The Voice,” and of course an opportunity to see just what else some of the respective coaches have up their sleeves as they hope to snag a few more members for their teams.
So what are the likes of Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Shakira, and Usher going to be up to on Monday night’s new episode? Well, allow the video below to be your guide! Blake of course tries to call foul play on someone, Shakira talks about how this show is really not about “tactics,” and there are some funny quips fired off.
The one unfortunate thing about watching this video is that it really does not show off much of anything when it comes to the main purpose of this show: The talent. We did have a video preview yesterday that featured one of the contestants trying out for the show, but we don’t get an opportunity to see that again here. Then again, the ratings for “The Voice” these days really do prove more than anything else that this show is about the coaches just as much as it is the artists. If singers were enough to draw ratings, than “American Idol” would in theory be doing just as well as they are here.
At the moment, the one feeling that we do have is that this is a much more balanced series of teams than we had the last time “The Voice” was had this lineup of coaches. Shakira in particular seems to have a much stronger team, and that could lead to a far more competitive show once we make it to the later rounds of the game.
