‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’: Joe and Teresa Giudice could face jail time after guilty plea
Could one of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” end up becoming more of a real jailbird? It’s possible, at least based on some of the new commentary that is out there on the subject.
The details of the report differ depending on who you listen to, but the one thing that seems to be pretty constant here is that according to In Touch Weekly, Teresa and her husband Joe Giudice are expected to enter a guilty plea on Tuesday in a variety of charges connected to a massive fraud operation. This comes after a lengthy arrangement made with prosecutors, and it could end up meaning years of jail time for both parties. (The operating word there is “could,” given that anything can happen when it comes to celebrities and the law.)
What this would mean for the Bravo franchise is something potentially huge in the even that the two are behind bars. Obviously, neither Teresa nor Joe would be available to film the show if they are in the pokey, and they may not end up having a job when they get out depending on what happens with new cast members or the show as a whole. That is all mere speculation, though, and a situation could arise where they could arrange filming schedules so that Teresa shoots a lot of footage both right before and after being in jail, that way she would only be gone for as little time as possible.
In the end, this is going to be an interesting case to watch, since there are some other interesting legal battles out there regarding “The Real Housewives” … or at least some of their husbands. Just look at Apollo Nida right now.
