‘The Mentalist’ season 6 spoilers: Simon Baker and a ‘Black Helicopters’ tease
What in the world is Patrick Jane up to when “The Mentalist” returns to CBS? The next new episode on March 9 is entitled “Black Helicopters,” and we have a few more details now about what you can expect. Specifically, it involves Patrick Jane, Mexico, and the world’s smallest mug.
This picture really wants you to know that the setting is in Mexico, in between the Spanish advertisement and also the fashion. Just in case you missed the synopsis from when we posted it a while back, it further proves our point regarding Jane’s whereabouts:
“Jane’s investigation leads him to join a separatist commune after a U.S. attorney is found dead in Mexico, even though there’s no record of her crossing the border. Also, Rigsby and Van Pelt convince JJ LaRoche to help them discover who is stalking former CBI members.”
Here’s the question: Do you think that Jane is going to be an exceptional asset in Mexico thanks to his time he spent in Latin America after the Red John case? While in one way we see it being possible, another suggests not so much. He never really fit in to that world even when he was living there, though he did at least have a few assorted friends.
In addition to the regular mission, we also understand that one of the other big questions right now and issues is regarding the whereabouts of Lisbon, who isn’t really mentioned or seen in some of the promotional material that is out there. What’s the reason for that? We want to assume that it has something to do with her story being intentionally a mystery, given that there may be some things that the writers / producers are trying to surprise us with. The same goes for what she could be doing in “Grey Water,” which you can read some more details about at this link.
