It was at some point inevitable that Sebastian Roche was going to be coming into the world of “The Originals,” especially when you consider the history of this Mikael character. He is the father of the Originals themselves for one, and he also spent most of an eternity hunting the likes of Klaus before eventually meeting his demise on “The Vampire Diaries” a little earlier on in its run. There is just such a tremendous amount of history there, and it would be insane for the show to ignore that.
Luckily, ignoring that they are not! The photo above is a first look at Mikael in this world … or more specifically in 1919, The show Tuesday night is going to flash back once again to that era, and show how Rebekah and Marcel initially summoned the character in an effort to try to do away with Klaus. This was a secret that came out on this past episode, and Klaus is none too pleased about learning that his sister wanted to destroy him. Given how many times that he has given her a dagger, though, we don’t really know how he can even be remotely surprised by any of this. He hasn’t really earned much of a right to be upset over anything.
“The Originals” is going to hopefully continue this story for a little while, mostly because it will be interesting to see if Klaus can handle betrayal like a normal person would … which would mean either cutting the person off, or finding a way to get over it. We don’t think the average person wants to stab someone in the heart and then lock them in a coffin until you’re ready to see them again.
