The latest “True Blood” season 7 casting has just been confirmed, and this one potentially holds some pretty big implications for Carrie Preston and her character of Arlene. She lost Terry back in season 6, but the good news coming out now is that she could have someone new to romance very soon.
According to a report from Deadline, “90210” alum Riley Smith is set to recur throughout much of the ten-episode final season. You may have heard a few details about this character already, but his name is Keith, and he is a vampire from a rock band who does have a sweet and romantic side.
Smith joins a group that is already pretty massive for the new season, given that you have all of your series regulars, and then such relative newcomers as James, who we saw at the end of last season (albeit played by a very different actor). The show has the challenge of trying to tie together most of these stories neatly before the end credits roll, and given that you have everyone here from Sookie Stackhouse to Eric Northman and much more, that is truly a pretty enviable task.
“True Blood” season 7 does not have an official premiere date yet, but it’s pretty darn easy here to speculate on one. Given that every other season of the show has started in June, you may as well pencil this in as the date for this new go-around of episodes, as well. We’ll have more when it becomes available.
