‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 5, episode 16 preview: Deeks and one fishy case
Are there going to be some pretty serious things that take place on next week’s “NCIS: Los Angeles” episode? Definitely, but for the time being, we really don’t mind CBS casting more of the focus on the fun. It’s hard not to when you are discussing a story entitled “Fish Out of Water,” and a pretty nasty fish-market explosion is at the center of the entire case.
The promo below makes it very clear just what we are going to be up against from the standpoint of having our stomach turn … and we’re okay with that, at least so long as it means more opportunities to see Deeks make some fish jokes. A happy Deeks makes for a happy viewer!
“Following an explosion at a fish market, the NCIS: LA team partners with an undercover DEA agent to determine if the incident is an act of terrorism or a botched drug smuggling deal. Meanwhile, in Afghanistan, Granger and Kensi investigate a helicopter crash that could be tied to their ongoing search for the infamous white ghost.”
The Kensi story is the part of this episode that the show clearly wants to keep under wraps for now … but like we said, we’re okay with that. Given how many generic promos CBS has put out for “NCIS: Los Angeles” over the years, anytime that we are given something with some sort of actual substance it is really worth celebrating.
Something else worth celebrating? That we still have a little ways to go before this season is over. Stay tuned for some more news on that soon.

how in a world would the DEA agent make deeks question his feelings?
