The new episode of “The Originals” airing on The CW next week is going to have quite a bit going for it, starting with a grand escape plan and a hungry Klaus looking for revenge. This is what happens when a psychopath knows that there was a plan in place for him to die.
There is a pretty exotic title to this one (which you can see above), and in case you were wondering what the meaning of this is, Le Grand Guignol is actually a famed theater that existed in Paris for many years. It was also around at that time a century ago when Rebekah had formulated her plan to take down Klaus. Opera is appropriately going to play a role in the story here, which you can see in the full synopsis below:
“In a series of flashbacks to 1919, Klaus (Joseph Morgan) opens up to Cami (Leah Pipes) and reveals details of the devastating secret Rebekah (Claire Holt) and Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) were trying to keep from him. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) forms an unlikely alliance with Monique (guest star Yasmine Al Bustami) and asks for her help in locating Sabine (guest star Shannon Kane.) Elsewhere, Thierry (guest star Callard Harris) is reluctant to get involved when Marcel and Rebekah approach him with a plan to take down the witches. Meanwhile, in the bayou, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is at her wits’ end and holds Sabine hostage in an attempt to get information that will reverse the curse on Phoebe’s werewolf clan.”
There’s a lot going on here, and if you are a Marcel / Rebekah shipper, we imagine you being very happy with what you see here.
