‘Arrow’ season 2, episode 14 preview: More proof that Diggle is the man
In many ways Diggle is the Daryl Dixon of “Arrow,” at least in that he is a character who was not a part of the original story, and for that reason, there are constantly many out there afraid that he will be killed off at any given moment. These are the same people who will probably protest and be very sad in the event that he ever is.
The sneak preview below is yet another reminder of why David Ramsay is awesome incarnate. It’s a simple little scene between him and Felicity, but he finds a way to give her exactly what she is looking for (reassurance), and does it in a way that never feels cheesy or forced. He instead reminds her with sincerity that she is valuable to the team despite the arrival of Sara Lance. Sara is going to make her feel particularly marginalized, since she now has the attention of Oliver, and there is really only one thing that she can do when it comes to the world of computer hacking. When that starts to fall apart for her, she starts to truly feel as though she has nothing.
For Diggle fans, the episode that you really want to get excited about airs in a few weeks. This will be an introduction to the Suicide Squad, a group of mostly criminal characters that are going to be rounded together by Amanda Waller. Diggle will be recruited to work with them, and while this is not a spin-off, it certainly could be thanks to it being original enough.
