‘Talking Dead’ to feature Michael Cudlitz following first full ‘Walking Dead’ epsiode
For those of you who love Michael Cudlitz, this has to be a great week for you. Not only did you see the former “Southland” star debut as Abraham on “The Walking Dead” this past Sunday, but you are also going to be seeing him both on the flagship AMC show as well as “Talking Dead” this Sunday.
The network confirmed that Cudlitz will join host Chris Hardwick to talk about anything and everything that happened on the episode Sunday, which could include some details on just what the character’s role is going to be on the show versus the comic book. The two will be joined by the superfan of the week in Mindy Kaling, who has somehow figured out a way to do something other than her myriad of duties on “The Mindy Project” over on Fox.
At the moment, we imagine that AMC executives wake up every morning and thank their lucky stars that they came up with this idea. Why? It’s positively brilliant, since you have a show here that gets huge ratings given the format, and it probably does not cost too much to air. The only person that is on board every week is Hardwick, and then you just have to make sure that the guests and the crew members are taken care of. This is why we are confused as to why AMC just hasn’t gone all-out on this and made a “Talking Mad” yet, since that would also figuratively do well given how much everyone loves to sit around with their friends and debate the various ins and outs of “Mad Men.”
Obviously, we’ll be around the rest of the weekend to further preview this big “Walking Dead” episode. You can click here to watch a sneak peek now, or here to sign up for our CarterMatt Newsletter for more updates.
