‘Criminal Minds’ season 9 spoilers: ‘Persuasion,’ and all about the mystery
Over the course of the past several years, there is something that has become lost at times in the crime / murder mystery drama of television: The actual mystery. So much of the story has become instead about some sort of insatiable need to shock the audience, and force them to feel something extreme while watching the story play out.
Admittedly, there are times in which we understand why there is such a temptation to make this happen. After all, who doesn’t love a good performance from a popular TV star? But, sometimes we just want a good mystery that takes us a few minutes to figure out … and hopefully the upcoming “Criminal Minds” season 9 episode entitled “Persuasion” will help to do just that. This is the seventeenth episode of the season and will air on Wednesday, March 5. Want to know more? Then just be sure to look below at the official synopsis:
“Mysterious drowning deaths discovered in the Las Vegas desert have the BAU trying to figure out the true cause and motive for the murders.”
That’s not too much to go on, but there is potential there for something to keep us given. The obvious explanation wold be that the victims were drowned somewhere specific, and then had their bodies dumped off in the desert. The only problem that we have with this theory? That it doesn’t really make a whole lot of sense when you think about it. Why would you want to dump a body in a place where it could someday be discover? We know that the desert is a big place, but it seems like the ocean or some other big body of water are the more standard places for these sort of things to occur on shows. You always run the risk out there of someone stumbling upon something.
