‘Mad Men’ season 7 video: Take a look back at Don Draper’s past before premiere

Let’s face it: There is a lot of “Mad Men” to get through if you are trying to get into the series now. You’re looking at six seasons, and dozens of episodes that are very intense and at times emotionally draining. Given that the new season premieres on Sunday, April 13, that is not a lot of time at all to get through them.

This is where we are here to help! In the new video below from AMC, you can get what is basically a microcosm of the entire Don Draper story from start to finish. This includes everything from his time at Sterling-Cooper to his marriage with Betty to meeting Megan to even his fallout at the evolved version of the advertising firm during the season 6 finale.

Where we have Don now is at the most vulnerable position yet over the entire series. He is a man now with no real job, and with children that he is suddenly starting to realize are important to him. Therefore, he is making a valiant effort to try to win them over … at least for now. Whether or not that changes at any point in the future remains to be seen.

There are seven episodes that are going to air this spring, and then following a lengthy hiatus, the other seven episodes are going to come on the air in 2015. That in theory leaves you a lot of time to catch up if you are okay with not being caught up until next year to see the series finale.
