‘Saturday Night Live’: Taran Killam, Nasim Pedrad, more tribute Seth Meyers
Even though Seth Meyers may be gone as the “Weekend Update” anchor and co-head writer of “Saturday Night Live,” he is clearly not forgotten. We have seen him steer this ship for so many years now, it is going to be both very interesting and also very scary to see how the show does without him.
But, before we get to Colin Jost’s big debut as the co-anchor for “Weekend Update” alongside Cecily Strong, many of those who worked with Seth over the years decided to make a little video to help say goodbye. If you look below, then you can see the likes of Jay Pharoah, Kenan Thompson, Vanessa Bayer, many of the “Weekend Update” writers, and even newcomers like the very-underutilized Brooks Whelan and Noel Wells all collectively share their thoughts about Seth, and say just how much that they will miss having him around.
One of the other things that Seth has been to many of them beyond a good boss and a very funny guy is also an inspiration. After all, this showed that sometimes you really do not need that much sleep in order to be successful at what you do. Seriously, this guy apparently does more in the hours of a day than almost any person alive can possibly hope or dream to. The fact that he was able to work both on this show and his upcoming edition of “Late Night” is really even more astounding.
