‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 15 preview: AJ Cook’s JJ returns to work
Sometimes, TV shows are rather grateful for the whole concept of the time jump … and at the moment, we heavily consider “Criminal Minds” to be one of these shows. There’s going to be a leap forward from the 200th episode to Wednesday’s new episode “Mr. and Mrs. Anderson,” and one of the primary reasons for that is due to the fact that they want to make sure that JJ is able to be back at work by the time the new episode begins.
As you likely remember from #200, AJ Cook’s character and Mateo Cruz went through some very rough stuff, and this was basically a situation where they really had an opportunity (albeit an unfortunate one) to find out what it is like to be in the position of the victim.
So upon JJ’s return to the BAU this week, of course almost everyone is going to be hyper-focused on trying to make sure her every possible need and whim is taken care of. This is an extremely kind gesture for all of them to make, and we are pretty sure that she is grateful for it; however, at the same time there has to come a certain point where she considers it to be more of a pain in the you-know-what since she is much more interested in just getting back to work and not having to put up with any of these sort of distractions. She just wants to be treated like everyone else.
