‘The Tomorrow People’ spoilers: More Astrid / John scoop now!

Who knew going into “The Tomorrow People” that we were going to see Astrid and John in particular become such a pair that people would love so much. Sometimes, it just so happens to be a case of seeing two characters work off of each other, and then trying to figure out from there what to do. This is something that “Arrow” has really done strongly when it comes to the Felicity Smoak and Oliver Queen characters, and maybe the producers here are taking notes.

Regardless of the reason, we can promise you that before the show leaves Wednesday nights, there will be more for this pair to do. Just take a look at the synopsis for the March 5 episode “Enemy of My Enemy” for evidence:

“Julian (guest star James Mackay) is back and angrier than ever, but when he gets caught by Ultra he is forced to strike a deal that could cost his and Stephen’s (Robbie Amell) lives. John (Luke Mitchell) once again disobeys Cara’s (Peyton List) orders when he learns the Julian has discovered the location of the Tomorrow People’s lair. Meanwhile, Astrid (Madeleine Mantock) is plagued by nightmares after her near-death experience and turns to her new friend John for some comfort.”

In a sense, we see why the two characters bond so well, at least in that they both feel a little on an island. John is a person with powers and also the capability to kill; meanwhile, Astrid is a young woman without powers, but still knows that they exit. There are not many others who share these traits.
