‘Survivor: Cagayan’ preview: Surprising immunity idol twist unveiled in TVGN preview
Just in case you thought that we were going to get a “Survivor” season that was suddenly light on the twists after “Blood vs. Water,” get ready to be proven wrong. The news that came out during the “Survivor: Cagayan” preview special on TVGN this week.
Let’s start with what is the first big twist, which could make someone a target from the get-go. Every one of the three teams (the Brains, the Brawn, and the Beauty tribes) are going to be forced to name a leader right away; then, the leader will in turn need to name someone to be the designated “weakest” person on the tribe, and that person will be sent straight to camp. From there, they will have a choice: They can either elect to get the tribe a second bag of rice, or a clue to a hidden immunity idol. This is a pretty interesting idea for there to be drama almost right away, but we would have a hard time taking that idol. Everyone will have already spent a ton of time strategizing on their way to camp, and that’s going to make it hard for you if you look immediately like a greedy person. (Then again, find the idol, and you have at least an extra week in the game.)
We can already predict that Morgan McLeod, Kass McQuillen, and Trish Hegarty are going to be three players with that designation, even though Morgan’s the only one we’d agree with being chosen. Sometimes, people tend to be a little unfairly judgmental.
As for the other big twist, Jeff Probst said on the special that there is a Tyler Perry-inspired idol that will come into play later in the game that you can even play after the votes are tallied at tribal council, and we don’t like that. It’s basically to the “Cook Islands” immunity idol, and it gives someone way too much power depending on when they find it. Also, it takes away the awesome sight of someone going home with an idol in their pocket.

wouldn’t you just take the bag of rice and then go find a tree where the idol would be hidden and then you have both = perfect
