‘The Blacklist’ spoilers: Lance Reddick and connections

If you’re feeling sad about a lack of news episodes of “The Blacklist,” we understand. After all, it’s been a decent amount of time since the show last came on NBC with new episodes, and you still have until February 24 to wait for it to come back on the air. While we understand that there is a little bit of a silver lining still in that you’re waiting for some good stuff.

In case you missed the memo previously, one of the things that is coming up is Lance Reddick, who is coming on the show moving forward in a role that is going to be very intriguing. He’s actually going by a pretty interesting name in “The Cowboy” … since the Old West is the first thing that you would think of after hearing the name “Lance Reddick,” after all.

According to a new report from TV Guide, one of the tasks that Reddick’s character will be given may be potentially watching out over Jolene, that mysterious woman who has been lingering closer and closer to Tom Keen the past few episodes. Since nothing can be coincidental for whatever reason on this show, this woman is going to have some sort of mysterious connection to a blacklister that we are about to meet. Things get interesting as a result here, and Reddington has so much more to deal with than he originally thought.

Now, we only hope that either before or after Reddick appears on the show, “The Blacklist” really looks at trying to address what has been a big problem with the series: Making sure that there is someone other than Red who really shines and is worthy of attention. No one is ever going to deny just how fantastic James Spader is, but there are other people who also need to shine.
