‘The Originals’ spoilers: First look at Claire Holt in upcoming flashback
When “The Originals” returns with new episodes on February 25, one of the main priorities is going to get getting a chance to figure out just what is happening with Rebecca and Genevieve. The latter is clearly a woman with a grudge, and that is going to play out extensively the moment that the show comes back as we see Claire Holt’s character tormented in the present.
In the photo below (via Entertainment Weekly), you can see both her and Genevieve sporting nurse outfits all the way back in 1919. The two at the time worked at the same sanitarium together, which is a nice little note for the sake of remembering that at one point, these characters actually did have ordinary jobs. The notable part is that this is the same sanitarium that we are going to see Rebekah at in the present-day during this episode when you see the purest form of evidence that these two ladies really don’t get along anymore.
This episode is the latest step in the writers trying to beef up the female characters of the show, who you could argue have not always had the most to do. That started to change with “The Casket Girls,” and it will hopefully carry right over to this.
What do you think about this image, and does the style that the producers are going with excite you? (If nothing else, it is an opportunity to see something very different from what we have to date.)
