‘The X Factor’ USA alum Fifth Harmony, Emblem3 each set to begin tours
Even though there may be some tough news out there about “The X Factor” franchise ending in America, the are still some reasons for some of its most-successful alumni to be celebrating right now: Two of the most-popular groups to graduate from the competition are each getting set to start some new tours this weekend.
When it comes to Fifth Harmony, Sunday night starts their Neon Lights Tour, where they are one of the featured acts for Demi Lovato. The “X Factor” connections on that tour should be pretty obvious. Not only was Demi a judge on their season, but they are also touring with Little Mix, to date the only group to win the British version of the competition, and also at times another British-show standout in Cher Lloyd. The group is already in Canada getting ready for the first show, and the tour will take them all over North America. (Head to Demi’s site for more information on dates and tickets.)
Meanwhile, another group from their season in Emblem3 is also getting set to start their first headlining tour today in their #bandlife tour. It is starting in Austin, and will carry them across pretty much the entirety of the United States over the next month and a half. These three guys have proven themselves to be titans of the touring world since being on the show, as they have traveled extensively and even toured with Selena Gomez. Here’s a little bit of fun singing-show trivia to go along with that: Joining Emblem3 and Selena on that tour was Christina Grimmie, who is also going to be on the upcoming season of “The Voice” as one of its most-noteworthy contestants to date. (Get tickets for Emblem3 here.)
