NBC’s ‘The Voice’ season 6: Usher joined by Jill Scott for battle rounds
The latest news is in regarding “The Voice” season 6… and it revolves all around Usher’s adviser for the battle rounds this season.
Already, you have probably heard the news that Blake Shelton is going to be joined by none other than The Band Perry, and hilariously, Shakira has recruited Blake’s own wife Miranda Lambert to the cause. So who is next to be confirmed? It’s none other than Jill Scott! As the new photo attached here (per “Extra“) shows, Usher is going to be joined by the soulful powerhouse as he helps to figure out who are the best people to advance further on his team.
We really dig this choice for Usher, at least considering that she is someone who does have to rely extensively on her voice in order to give a great performance. Also, she is someone who has had to work very hard for everything that she is given, and there’s a great source for musical advice in there.
As for whether or not Scott will really receive a ton of time working with his team, that’s still a little bit of an unknown. She will be there for at least a small window during battle rounds production, but given how many battles there are and the limited amount of time, she probably has to cram in her advice. Meanwhile, the contestants may also need to cram in some of their questions.

Now THAT’S an advisor. A singer, a songwriter, and an actress. She can teach the contestants a lot. Usher is a genius.
