‘The Vampire Diaries’ season 5 spoilers: Ian Somerhalder’s Damon, and more violence

Damon -Damon Salvatore is not always an easy character to like. Sure, there are times on “The Vampire Dairies” where he does some stuff that really makes you want to cheer for him, and then he does a bunch of terrible stuff that reminds you that he’s still … Damon. The unfortunate thing is that more than anything else, his sense of right and wrong is skewed. Whether or not he legitimately feels guilt about things the same way as ripper Stefan does remains to be seen.

According to a new report from TV Guide, there is going to be some pretty terrible stuff on the way for Damon the rest of the way. For example, expect a “high body count” at his expense moving forward. How bad will it get? Think along the lines that there is going to be so much more in the way of Salvatore tension again among the brothers. That should be fun in some ways, but also terrifying when it comes to everyone who is not a series regular. These are the people who are always susceptible to dying.

What do you think: Are you glad to see Damon the bad boy back on “The Vampire Diaries,” or do you just wish that some of these folks with fangs would just pick a side and be done with it?
