Super Bowl XLVIII: Erin Andrews, Richard Sherman reunite for new interview

Remember Erin Andrews and Richard Sherman’s most-recent interview? You don’t have to be a sports fan to know that the last time that these two spoke in an interview on Fox, it became a viral sensation for the demonstrative behavior that the cornerback showed following the Seattle Seahawks’ win over the San Francisco 49ers. He screamed, he mocked opposite player Michael Crabtree, and Andrews looked on completely terrified the entire time.

So, you knew things were going to be interesting when the two reconnected at Super Bowl XLVIII during the pre-game show tonight. Unfortunately, this interview was really pure fluff. There wasn’t quite much worth talking about here, as he apologized to Crabtree for getting as angry as he did. There were interviews with most of his fellow players, as many of him defended him for some of his actions. They talked about his charity work, his compassionate side, and how there is a difference between the guy on the field, and the guy in real life.

As for Andrews, she was fine in this interview … but we feel like she could have had a good bit more fun with this entire interview had she decided to really let loose and go for it. In the end, she came across as a little bit uptight, and not as willing to have as much fun as we would have hoped going into it. Then again, she probably had to maintain a certain level of professionalism that all of these interviewers are strictly held to.

Also notable here? That Michael Strahan apparently combined Sherman and Crabtree’s names at one point. Awkward.
