‘Ink Master’ season 4 will premiere on Spike February 25; meet the new cast! (Video)

Spike is really not wasting too much time at all here when it comes to getting the next season of “Ink Master” on the air. Even though season 3 only aired in the late summer /early fall, the new batch of episodes is going to launch on Spike come Tuesday, February 25 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time. This is one of the shortest times between seasons to date, and that wait may seem even smaller for those of who double-dip between this show and Oxygen’s “Best Ink” (though we personally love the Dave Navarro-hosted series so much more).

As a way to start getting yourself prepared now for the fourth season, the video below gives you a nice little opportunity to meet most of the cast. 17 tattoo artists from around America are set to compete for the title, and to also prove to themselves that they can tackle the rigors of this competition. In the end, this is one of the most taxing shows out there; not only do you have to know a variety of styles and techniques, but you have to deal with often-belligerent clients who expect the world of you, even if they’re getting a free tattoo.

For those of you who watched season 3, then you know well enough already that there is going to be a returning artist from season 3 competing again for the prize. Let’s hope that there is a little less controversy with it this time than last season, when Tatu Baby made it to the finale 3 in controversial fashion. Many artists believed that she shouldn’t have made it that far, and things got even crazier when you got around to the final episode of the season.
