Super Bowl commercials: Tim Tebow – T-Mobile ad features rock stars, stunts

Tebow -Tim Tebow may not be particularly busy right now when it comes to actually playing in the NFL, but the quarterback and former Heisman Trophy winner still does apparently have something pretty fantastic worth celebrating: Getting the opportunity to film a number of different action sequences for T-Mobile.

As a way to promote their new no-contract plans, Tebow dons a variety of different personas in the attached video, where he is everything from a stuntman to a rock star to apparently some guy responsible for actually bringing world peace. There are also even a couple of moments in here where you are also going to laugh, in addition to being wowed by some of the production values that are put into this.

The reason that Tebow did this ad has to be pretty darn simple: Cash. It’s a huge paycheck to do a Super Bowl commercial these days, and given that he does not have a regular job, this is the sort of thing that should be right up his alley. Tebow was also on “Good Morning America” this Monday, and will continue to do work covering the SEC this fall, provided that he is not able to find a job with another NFL team in the future. He is still hoping for another opportunity after being cut by the New England Patriots earlier this year. (Personally, we’ll just be happy if he appears on “Dancing with the Stars.”)
