Jimmy Fallon previews the Super Bowl (and practically the Puppy Bowl) with prediction
If Jimmy Fallon does one thing right, the by golly, he’ll repeat that thing until that cows come home. The latest example of that? Him using puppies to try to predict major sporting events coming up in the future.
Then again, as much flak as we could give the soon-to-be host of “The Tonight Show” for doing much of the same thing time and time again on the show, we have to say that we have no problem seeing something as predictable as the Puppy Predictable so long as the puppies are cute … and they are very cute here. In the video below, you can see Fallon unleash the puppies upon as as they try to predict that winner of the Super Bowl between the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos. For the first time, we actually have a situation here where the majority of the puppies really do not seem that invested in this one way or the other. With that being said, though, there is still a clear winner.
While this was not in any way a carbon copy of the Puppy Bowl (which is a very different show airing on a very different network in Animal Planet), we almost prefer what Fallon does for one simple reason: There is no way whatsoever that we can stand watching puppies frolic around for hours on end without making us going to want to go out and get a real puppy. This is short, cute, and to the point. What we’re also interested in seeing is if this is going to be one of the last opportunities that we have to see this bit. Fallon has not made it clear just which one of his gags are going to be coming with him to “The Tonight Show,” but this is one that we would like to still have around.
