‘Criminal Minds’ season 9, episode 14 preview: 200th episode promo features Paget Brewster

Have you been eagerly awaiting the return of Emily Prentiss? Well, the waiting is just about over. Paget Brewster is set to return to “Criminal Minds” next week for the big 200th episode, and this is an opportunity for you to see her in action.

The first promo below may not reveal much, but it is a guide to some of the most-important aspects of the episode, whether it be the capture of the agents and Prentiss being called in to assist. This is going to be an at-times violent, disturbing episode, but one that also provides some insight into the lives of the characters. As you may have already heard a few times already, this is going to be the installment that really starts to dive into what JJ’s time away from the BAU was like a little earlier on in the series.

Really, the biggest disappointment about this promo to us is that it does miss out on the chance to really hype up the fact that this is episode #200. That is a huge cause for celebration! When you think about it, only the best and brightest of scripted TV make it to that mark, since it takes you roughly nine or ten seasons to get there depending on how many episodes you are doing a year.While it may be a little more commonplace for a network like CBS with so many long-term hits, it is something still worth celebrating time and time again. After all, the show won’t get another chance at a milestone like this until at least season 13 or 14, if it makes it on the air that long.
