The Blacklist logo any seasonMaybe it is the ratings, or maybe it is the chance to work with James Spader; either way, it feels like more and more people are getting excited about the opportunity to work on “The Blacklist,” and the show is in turn able to book more and more big-name guest stars.

Who is the latest big name to jump on board? According to a new report from TVLine, that famous face is none other than Academy Award winner Dianne West. The “Bullets Over Broadway” star is going to be play the role of a powerful but sympathetic woman who heads up Amnesty United, which is clearly on the surface the show’s version of real-life human rights organization Amnesty International. She is going to appear in the fifteenth episode of the season, which will be airing in early March.

One of the easy benefits for a guest-star to appear on this show is pretty simple: The get a chance to do some great work alongside great actors, and scripts that are a cut above what you traditionally see for network procedural dramas. Also, it’s a big audience! While you are getting a pretty hefty live viewership, it is also important here to remember that “The Blacklist” is routinely one of the most-recorded shows on television, and it has even shattered some records for the sheer number of viewers that it has been able to pull in through some of the DVR-related measures that are looked at by Nielsen.
