‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 spoilers: Get ready for way more Katrina

It should go without saying at this point that you are going to see more Katrina on “Sleepy Hollow” next season. As a matter of fact, this was probably assumed to be a given by many who have watched the show from the beginning. From the moment that Katia Winter was announced as a series regular, did you really think that her entire role in the series was going to be of her stuck in purgatory, waiting for the likes of Ichabod and Abbie to be proactive in trying to save her? The show is much more proactive than that.

Luckily, this prophecy of more Katrina (which is hardly as intense as some of the prophecies for the characters on the show) is looking to be coming true soon. As co-creator Alex Kurtzman tells TVLine, her being a part of the free world is going to lead to all sorts of stories about who she is, and how she reacts to modern life:

“She was trapped in Purgatory, [so] there were limitations to how she could be involved in our stories. Now that she’s been freed from that place, she’s going to have a whole bunch of new stories to come.”

Obviously, it’s easy to sit here and say that we are going to be seeing Katrina take on this sort of role as a male sort of Ichabod when it comes to obsessing over Starbucks and freaking out about skinny jeans. But, we like to think that she will handle this a little bit better, given that she has such a reputation already for being so much more in the know than her husband. Maybe she’ll take a crash course on actually living in the present.
