‘The Blacklist’ episode 13 preview: James Spader, Megan Boone, and adoption drama

The Blacklist logo any seasonThe topic of adoption has been a big one on “The Blacklist” throughout its run so far, but mostly courtesy of the fact that Liz and Tom Keen have contemplated adding a child to their family via an agency. So far, they have been pretty unsuccessful in the efforts for a variety of reasons. For example, the latest one includes Liz being constantly away from home, and her man eventually getting frustrated while gravitating towards some other woman.

Next week, though, this adoption story could take another (and very different) turn as there is another sort of adoption agency that will be at the center of the story … and not really in a good way. This episode is entitled “The Cyprus Agency,” and you can read a little more about it via our synopsis below:

“After a recent spate of abductions of babies from their mothers, Red (James Spader) informs Liz (Megan Boone) that the ‘Cyprus Agency’ is the illegal adoption organization responsible. Coincidentally, Liz and Tom (Ryan Eggold) contemplate adoption of their own which fuels Liz to track down the organizations CEO.”

Above all else, what we are really hoping that we see from this is some additional evidence that Reddington’s current plan is coming along here when it comes to the mole; Meera just confessed to it, but it took most of the episode for anything at all to happen in this story. You get a tiny glimpse of that in the promo below, but there is also a ton of time given the what is happening with the case of the week, complete with a guy getting hit by a bus.

Even if you are skeptical, rest assured that there is more good stuff coming soon from James Spader, Megan Boone, and the rest of the cast.
