‘Sleepy Hollow’ finale reaction: Who’s the Horseman of War, and Ichabod’s son?
Well, did you see that ending for “Sleepy Hollow” season 1 coming ahead of time? There have been some pretty stunning things that have taken place on this show over the years, but this has to take the cake as one of the craziest. Granted, we do have to stop now, and warn you that there are some MASSIVE spoilers ahead.
So … the show bosses weren’t kidding when they said that there was a major role ahead for Henry Parrish, otherwise known as Jeremy Crane. Just to make things even worse, Jeremy also looks to be the Horseman of War. He took his other name when he encountered St. Henry’s Parish not long after being revived by Moloch, who has pretty much said now that he means some serious business.
So where does this leave Ichabod? Well, basically in the same sort of place that he was before the pilot: Trapped. He has been sealed away, where he will have to be released yet again in order for our intrepid heroes to really push forward with their quest. While this is happening, Jenny’s in serious trouble, and Katrina is not exactly in the great happy place that we were hoping to see her prior to the start of the finale. Captain Irving is also now hauled away for some crimes that he didn’t commit, just as a way of making his own ultimate sacrifice.
All in all, this was a heck of a finale … but we’re not ready to grade this just yet. We will have a full review a little later this week, when we have more time to analyze everything.
