‘Sleepy Hollow’ season 2 spoilers: What we know so far about filming, episodes
Tonight, “Sleepy Hollow” comes to a close on Fox with an epic two-hour event. But what is going to be coming up down the road? That is something that you have probably had on your mind at various moments of the past several weeks as neared the end of this head-turning (or head-losing?) journey.
Since we are writing this article before the finale, most of what we are focusing on here are events that are related more to production rather than story, including that production of the next batch of episodes is starting very early this spring. That’s a distinct difference from many other shows, which tend to start filming in July at the earliest. The reason for this in our mind is twofold: It gives the people in post-production more time to work their magic, and it also suggests an earlier start date, such as maybe August for the new season. This would make sense in that it could allow the show to air all of its episodes consecutively rather than take any huge breaks for the baseball playoffs.
Also, there will at least be 13 episodes, though Fox said recently that this could be extended by a couple of installments. (Personally, we cross our fingers for something along the lines of 15 a la “The Following.”) John Noble will be back with another sizable arc as the Sin Eater, and there are some other guest actors from this season that you will see more of.
Some things that you can definitely expect more of? Incabod Crane, new demons and monsters, and also twists in the mythology of America at the turn of the Revolutionary War. This show is the sort of twisted history lesson that professors get mad about.
