‘Law & Order: SVU’ season 15, ‘Chicago Fire,’ ‘Chicago PD’ to cross over at times

Law & Order: SVU logoWhen you are a Dick Wolf series, one of the cool things about going to work is that you know the odds are high that you will end up working with some cast members from other shows from time to time. Crossovers are a name of the game; they add to the richness of the overall world, and they can also help to increase the ratings for each separate show.

So can you really be that surprised at all to hear that all of these Wolf series are going to be helping each other out the rest of the way? Wolf confirmed at TCA today that the likes of “Law & Order: SVU,” “Chicago Fire,” and also “Chicago PD” are going to be airing some crossover episodes the rest of the season.

Now, to a certain extent this makes sense. Since the two Chicago shows are set in the same place, it’s obvious that there would be some carryover from one to the other. But where does Mariska Hargitay and company fit into this? That is probably the understandable question that so many of you have right now. There are only so many situations that would cause the New York and Chicago teams would come in contact with each other, and we see the more likely situation here being that we see just one or two characters going from one city to the other. This is something that Wolf even does with characters who aren’t even in the franchise regularly anymore.

Which show do you think benefits the most from this, and what stories would you like to see? Let us know your thoughts below.
