2014 SAG Awards: Live stream the red carpet pre-show now!
If you love awards season and everything that comes with it, then you are probably more than pleased that tonight marks the Screen Actors Guild Awards in Hollywood. While this is not a show as big as the Oscars or the Golden Globes, it is still a nice opportunity to see starts from film and TV mingle, while some awards are handed down at the same time.
The big thing that we do have to do here first of all is roll our eyes at the poor viewers in Canada, since for whatever reason the show is not airing on Global until Sunday … 24 hours after it will have happened. What’s the interest in watching a show after you already know all the winners? Expect pretty horrendous ratings here, and it comes a year after the network failed to broadcast the first 40 minutes of it properly.
For Americans, meanwhile, you’re not really going to notice any difference at all tonight when it comes to the show. It starts at 8:00 p.m. Eastern on both TNT and TBS, just as it has in years past. But, if you want to get into the show before it even starts, we also have a few ways that you can do that:
1. You can watch E! at around 6:00 p.m. for the start of their red-carpet pre-show.
2. If for whatever reason you just don’t want to watch it on TV, or somebody else is commandeering it, you can also stream the red carpet with some highlights at E!’s site. There will be more ridiculous camera angles and the like, so be prepared!
