‘New Girl’ season 3 spoilers: Get ready to see Schmidt return to dating
It has definitely been a rocky past few months for Schmidt on “New Girl” when it comes to his various exploits in the world of dating … even though a vast majority of it is his own fault rather than anyone else’s. This is a guy who tried to date two women at the same time, and when it didn’t work out, of course it went completely in the garbage in dramatic fashion.
So what sort of opportunity awaits him now? He’s been single for a while and has his own place now (though it’s really only a few feet away from his old place), and this means that he is ready to dive headfirst back into the world dating again. The problem for him? Not every woman out there may be interested, and there is also a new “fool-proof” plan that he has constructed that really could not be any more foolish if he tried. Just take a look at what Max Greenfield says to TV Guide if you want to find out more:
“Schmidt decides to go out, get a girl and bring her back to his new place. He’s telling the guys, ‘Guys, any time you want to come over here, this is your place too.’ … He tries to come up with some sort of plan where it can work out for all of them and of course it blows up in his face.”
It also probably doesn’t help that most of the other “New Girl” characters are in a similar sort of romantic downturn except for Nick and Jess. Winston is literally clinging to anyone who is interested in him, and then there is Coach … who is just super-hard to figure out. We just better hope that nobody really starts to get close to Coach again, since him in relationships apparently equals him taking off from the gang for a while.
Does all this sound like good stuff to you? Let us know.
