‘American Horror Story’ season 4 could be period piece, will feature largely same cast

Thanks to the fact that “American Horror Story” has already been renewed for a fourth season, we now have an opportunity to start to raise some questions about what is going to be coming up next year. Where will it be set, and who is going to star it it? Also, will we finally get something that is a little less of a hodgepodge of various ideas thrown together on the screen? If we could have all of this, we imagine that we’d be so much happier in the end.

Well, FX Network head John Landgraf suggested that most of the cast for this season would be back once again for season 4 while at TCA today, and also hinted that we could be seeing some sort of period piece moving forward.

In case we weren’t clear enough early, it really does not matter that much to us whether or not the story that we have for season 4 is fundamentally something in the past or the present, or features X cast member or Y. We really just want to see a story emphasized that is a little more simplistic. Some of the past few seasons have been so complicated and hard to follow that it’s almost like a weekly soap, where you need a road map to keep track of various friends and alliances. Plus, there are so many different villains and supernatural entities. “American Horror Story: Asylum” was probably the biggest offender when it comes to all of that.

The new season will premiere on FX in the fall of this year, and more details may be revealed during the upcoming finale.
