‘Arrow’ season 2 spoilers: Stephen Amell on what could put Oliver in bad mood

Tomorrow night, “Arrow” fanatics can gleefully celebrate the return of their favorite show to The CW. You’re going to get an opportunity to check out more adventures of Oliver Queen, who is going to continue to get his hero on. However, at the same time he’s also going to get himself in a particularly crabby mood courtesy of someone who is starting to drift away, who he is used to having around and to an extent attending to his every need: Felicity.

You’ve likely heard for weeks now that there is tension between these two characters, who just about everyone wants to see hook up at some point. Based on what Stephen Amell tells E! News, though, one of the latest sort of “impetus moments” is going to come when Felicity continues to show some element of care for Barry Allen:

“That relationship is really moving in a new direction. It’s one of those things where, guys do this all the time, you don’t realize the depths and levels of your feelings for someone until someone else likes them.”

This should make for pretty awesome television, and we are very excited to see that. However, at the same time we cannot really sit here and say that Wednesday night’s episode “Blast Radius” is going to be Oliver’s emo session. We don’t really think that the writers feel any sort of direct pressure to get these two together immediately, since it is the anticipation that everyone seems to be going berserk over. Plus, there is also the whole feeling that when they do hook them up, it can be difficult to keep people excited. The whole “will they or won’t they?” dynamic is tried, tested and true, at least so long as you’re not dragging it out for years and years.

We’re going to have more coverage of tomorrow’s “Arrow” episode, so be sure to keep checking back!
