ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 6, episode 12: Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion scene on ‘Caskett’ wedding

Could Castle and Beckett be married sooner rather than later? Based on the sneak peek below from tonight’s “Castle” season 6 episode, this is something that we definitely have to mark down as a serious possibility. We wondered for quite a while as to whether or not these two lovebirds would even consider a wedding soon, and they might for a couple of key reasons: Scheduling, and also advice from Castle’s mother Martha.

Granted, the advice from Martha is a little bit too impulsive in that she legitimately feels like it is a good idea for the two of them to just march on down to City Hall, tie the knot, and then be done with it and ready to move forward. That’s not going to be the sort of move that the show will want to make, mostly because we know already that it is very much in their best interest to really draw this out for as long as they possibly can. The more attention that they can bring to the wedding, the better off the ratings will be for an episode all about it.

The earliest that we personally see a wedding happen is the May sweeps, mostly because that is the sort of thing that would make for a great ratings boost for the show. But with that being said, why not also consider the idea of having it take place around the time of the premiere? It gives you a great event to start a season 7, especially if there is a fun honeymoon episode that follows that features the two in some sort of exotic locale.
