2014 Golden Globes: Lena Dunham, Kaley Cuoco, Bryan Cranston, and red-carpet chatter

The 2014 Golden Globes are upon us! To help you get prepared for one of the biggest nights in all of TV / film, we’ve got a few highlights now courtesy of the E! red carpet pre-show. These are mostly just TV-oriented names, but all of them tried to survive in the midst of what was a pretty maddening show that featured all sorts of terrible fashion puns, the return of the monstrosity known as the mani-cam, and also Ryan Seacrest awkwardly trying to bring up some sort of fan question to ask Amy Adams.

Now, let’s get to a few notes on some of the stars.

Lena Dunham – The “Girls” creator claimed that were she not at the Globes this year, she would be at home checking Twitter like a crazy person during her show, while also wearing pajamas and eating junk food. She also is feeling much more relaxed in attending the show for a second year.

Kaley Cuoco – She now is going by “Kaley Cuoco Sweeting” after her recent wedding, which apparently included a chandelier-themed cake that was hanged up from the ceiling. This was a project that took a bakery literally a week to construct and plan out, just so it wouldn’t fall on the ground.

Bryan Cranston – Mr. Cranston, one of the fashion highlights among the men, spoke graciously about his time on “Breaking Bad.” But, he almost seemed to be a little too insistent on reminding everyone the show is over.

Eric Stonestreet – He’s probably one of the funniest people that Seacrest talked to, and he was strangely ignored and sent packing quickly just so the Adams interview / fan question could happen.
