‘Parks and Recreation’ season 6: Rashida Jones already has some post-show producing plans
While you may still be recovering from the very funny 100th episode of “Parks and Recreation” season 6, we are here to primarily address something else: Whether or not Rashida Jones has some plans for the show following her time as Ann Perkins.
Jones has already teamed with Will McCormack and writer-producer Ben Queen for a new NBC comedy pilot entitled “A to Z,” which is set in the complicated and often crazy world of online dating. Jones has been getting more into the world of production over the past few years, and it has not been announced as to whether or not she will act in this new series.
So why is she leaving “Parks and Recreation” in the first place? The reason that this has been given so much attention is simply that she and Lowe are both looking to try something new now, and the folks behind the scenes at the show are also ready to try out some more things with the cast that they have. Right now, this is a show that is firmly parked on the bubble in terms of whether or not it is going to be back for a seventh season. The main thing that is has going for it right now is that most of NBC’s other new shows are completely bombing, which means that both this show and “Community” are going to have a little bit more of an advantage then they normally would at this point in their run.
