‘The Mentalist’ season 6, episode 12 preview: Someone gives Jane full security clearance
Does that idea in the title sound like a good one to you? The best way that we can describe the upcoming episode of “The Mentalist” season 6 airing on Sunday is pretty simple: Patrick Jane finds a way to get under the skin of a whole lot more people.
Then again, Jane also gets license to really do more to actually help people at least in the right situation. While we do want to just focus on the pretty funny exchange between him and Abbott over whether or not Area 51 exists, we’ll instead deal with what is the real story here: An expert at The Pentagon being found dead, and questions that start to come out of that as to what exactly this person knew that could have caused them to become a victim.
Just when it comes to the way that Jane talks about the mission below, there’s a part of us that starts to immediately think that Nicolas Cage is going to pop up out of nowhere and start going on and on using one of his monologues from “National Treasure.” There’s also a part of us wondering if Agent Gibbs is going to show up at some point to try to take over part of the investigation. Given the scope of all that they do, we’re personally somewhat surprised in some ways that the fictional worlds of “NCIS,” “Criminal Minds,” “The Mentalist,” “Blue Bloods,” “CSI,” and “Hawaii Five-0” don’t cross over and form some sort of confusing crime family. There’s a part of that we would find really fun … at least in our mind.
