It has been a little while since we’ve had some scoop on “Criminal Minds” season 9, but with the New Year here and new episodes of the show starting up again next week after a month-long hiatus, why not dive back into it now?
The episode that we are going to be talking about here is “The Road Home,” which actually happens to be the 199th installment of the entire series. So how about that as a milestone before a milestone? This is going to be one where a few things of significance will happen, with one of the primary things being that we’re going to get a chance to find out a little bit more about what JJ’s past with Mateo Cruz really is. Take a look at the synopsis below if you want some more (pun intended, given that this is a crime show) evidence:
“While the BAU looks for a vigilante killer on the loose in Cleveland, Rossi is concerned when his former Marine sergeant goes missing and heads to Los Angeles to find him. Also, the secret JJ has been keeping from the team may be catching up with her.”
The importance of the JJ story right now to you should be this: A ton of the story in the upcoming 200th episode is really going to revolve around what was going on with her in the time in which she was away from the team, and Cruz is going to also be involved with it in some capacity. Also, that is the same episode that you’ll get a chance to see Paget Brewster again, for all of you out there proclaiming that the show has not been the same at all since she left.
What do you think of the idea behind this episode, and are you just ready for the 200th one to be here so that you can get your metaphorical party hat on? Click here if you want to read some more scoop, or here if you have the not-so-criminal mind to sign up for our CarterMatt TV newsletter.
