‘Shark Tank’ preview: EyeBloc, Wall Rx, and a Nuts ‘N More update

Have you missed “Shark Tank”? As someone who lives for the success stories as much as Kevin O’Leary crushing the dreams of the unworthy, we cannot even put into words just how excited we are to see the next new episode airing on Friday night. In theory, some of the products that are shown off this week could be successful, and you are also going to see an update on the Nuts ‘N More product that was first featured in season 4 that got Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec biting.

Before we say anything else, let’s start off here by sharing the full synopsis below from ABC about everything that you can expect:

“In the first new episode of 2014, the Sharks hear pitches they all want to sink their teeth into, and fight each other for a piece of it. A former NFL player from Anthem, AZ has a mobile fitness company for kids allowing them to have fun and be fit; a forensic pathologist and self-described “wall doctor” from Chester County, PA has a prescription for fixing a hole in the wall; a couple from Chatsworth, CA has an affordable solution for photos stacking up on your Smartphone; and a man from Washington, DC has the answer to security problems with his webcam privacy shield.”

The sharks appearing in this episode are the same ones pictured above, which is terrible news for those of you out there who are Barbara Corcoran fans. As for the two products that we think could make for interesting debates among the sharks…

Wall Rx – The appeal here is going to be that it is one of those fix-it-at-home products that Lori Greiner could sell on QVC for all sorts of money … if it works as well as the “Doctor” pitching it claims it does. Personally, we’re not much of a hardware guy, but if we were doing renovations and wanted to fix something easy and on the relative cheap, this could be a good move.

Eyebloc – This product reminds us a lot of the SoundBender in that it is basically just a little attachment to your laptop or tablet that helps to ensure that your webcam stays private, and either you are not a victim of a hack or just your own recklessness in the event that you start up your own webcam when you don’t mean to. There are definitely some people out there who could use these, but we see it possibly as a hard sell in the you have to educate people that they really need to get one. What SoundBender has going for it is that you can see the results of it much easier.

We will be back as always on Friday night after the episode airs for a full review.
