2014 PCAs highlights: Stana Katic, Beth Behrs, Nina Dobrev, and Ian Somerhalder

The People’s Choice Awards are ultimately a pretty difficult awards show to keep track of, mostly because there is such a boatload of awards to give out. Much of the strategy that CBS employs is that there are way more nominees and winners that can ever be shown in the broadcast, and they therefore pick and choose some of the ones that they show based on the lineup that they are able to assemble for the night.

First of all, let us start with “Castle’s” leading lady otherwise known as Stana Katic. She took home the award for Dramatic TV Actress, and at least had the opportunity to give a brief acceptance speech on the show … as in very brief. She only had so much time before she ended up introducing Lorde. One of the nice things about what Stana and many other TV stars on the night did was literally put on a dress and go straight from work, and that has to be pretty difficult to do at times.

Also, Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev actually admitted that they dated in real life! This is stunning news mostly in that neither person actually seemed to be willing to ever admit it the whole time that they were together. Also, it should be noted that they also confirmed that they broke up, which we knew, but it is still proof that they haven’t gotten back together despite some of the reports that are floating around there.

At least these two, if nothing else, have still figured out a way to have a great relationship that keeps things from being awkward between them … despite whatever they may be joking about.

Also, Beth Behrs did a dance during the show to “Baby Got Back,” but there is no video out there for that just yet.
