‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 video: Watch Danai Gurira’s Michonne be awesome

Slowly and surely, AMC is getting the publicity train moving for “The Walking Dead” season 4 … dare we say at a zombie’s pace? They are slow and methodical about it, but luckily, the majority of the stuff that they are putting out there for us to enjoy is incredible.

For the latest example of that, just take a look at what is happening with Michonne. There is not much at all in this video that we could consider relevant to the story, and there is also nothing in here that is going to teach you anything new about the character.

At the same time, though, it is another example of why Danai Gurira has such a great role on the show: She’s the sort of ultimate warrior (not the wrestler) who can take on anything, and just the sight of that famous sword shows that she is ready to take on whatever comes her way.

We know that when it comes to the path of Michonne on the second half of season 4, she will be starting out alone. That is no guarantee that she will remain that way forever, but you need somewhere to start since the group is scattered at this point. This is a great jumping off point for Michonne, and so long as she gets to take out a good many of the walkers that we see in the promo, we’ll be happy.

The second half of this season starts officially on AMC come Sunday, February 9 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time.
